Preview new flooring product

Being at IIDE for the first time, Dutch flooring company Hakwood is a proud sponsor. For the design of Room 9 - the Breakfast room - Hakwood collaborated with British designer Henrietta Spencer-Churchill.  To compliment her design, Spencer-Churchill selected Strata flooring in a chevron pattern, a new colour featuring Hakwood’s soon-to-be launched Ultramatte Lacquer finish.

Henrietta Spencer-Churchill’s design company, Woodstock Designs, specializes in residential design from renovation of period properties to new build houses. Her separate company Spencer-Churchill Designs produces a selection of furniture, fabrics and wallpapers. Staying true to her design principals, she incorporates current trends and technology while respecting historic character and architecture. For IIDE, Spencer-Churchill designed a classic breakfast room, featuring one of Hakwood’s newest products.

 

Ultramatte: restrained elegance

Hakwood is introducing products with an Ultramatte Lacquer finish. The beauty of this is that it lets the wood be wood. The matte lacquer suppresses the reflection and emphasizes the colour and texture beneath. To bring this new finish into their collection Hakwood selected a palette of their most popular and enduring colours. Hakwood completed the natural look with the use of a recessed filler. The combination of modern aesthetic and rustic elements give the new products the characteristics of restrained elegance.

 

Visit IIDE Brussels from November 17 till November 25 and preview Hakwood’s product in a classic space by a world renowned designer.
