Hakwood Wall Tiles featured by Dutch Designer Timo Van Riggelen

Since the launch of Hakwood’s new Wall Tile designs in 2017, designers have pursued unique ways to integrate them into their projects. Most recently, Dutch designer Timo Van Riggelen created a feature wall in his new showroom.

Van Riggelen’s office-showroom is located on a quaint canal in the heart of Amsterdam and presents carefully cultivated brands and products he believes to be luxurious, versatile and innovative. Prominently displayed at the entrance, for client and visitor alike to see as they walk in, are Hakwood’s Wall Tiles. Van Riggelen.

“ I noticed that most clients are drawn to the tiles when they come in, caressing the material. It’s wonderful to see a material eliciting a reaction like that.”

What is it that enticed Riggelen to make Hakwood part of his newly designed space? “Hakwood’s Wall Tiles fit the picture,” says Van Riggelen. “The incredible number of choices in colours, patterns and shapes had an instant appeal. The product also allows for very interesting combinations, such as clean stone floors and rough wood walls.”

Updating the product range, Hakwood adds new designs which make use of curves and right angles to create many different decorative patterns. Rich wood finishes, pops of colour and varying thicknesses within a wood tile enable the customer to create a bespoke design that fits their design intent. The latest designs feature repeated squares, interlinked circles and trapezoidal shapes.
